'I Was Sexually Abused In Childhood': Bollywood Actor Sohail Khan Makes Shocking Revelation; Fears For His Sons

Mumbai: Bollywood actor Sohail Khan has opened up for the first time about a painful experience he had kept buried within himself for years. The actor revealed that he was sexually harassed during his childhood but could not tell anyone due to shame and fear. He explained that this is precisely why he always encourages his two sons to speak openly.

Why does Sohail always counsel his sons? 

During a conversation on the show 'Alliance', Sohail mentioned that he always tells his sons, Nirvaan and Yohan, to inform him without hesitation if anyone bothers, intimidates, or bullies them.
Sohail said, "I am completely against ragging and bullying. I always tell my sons not to hide anything from me if someone troubles them or makes them feel uncomfortable, because I have gone through this myself."

What did Sohail Khan say? 

During the conversation, Sohail revealed a deeply painful secret from his life. He said, "When I was young, I was sexually harassed. However, I kept this buried inside me for many years. It was only after I grew up that I told my father what had happened to me."
Sohail shared that his father was shocked to hear this. He asked, "Why did you hide this for so many years?" Sohail replied, "I felt very ashamed. It wasn't my fault, but at that age, it feels like the fault might be yours."
Sohail said he learned a valuable lesson from his own pain. That is why he repeatedly tells his children that no matter what happens in life, they should never remain silent and should always share everything with their family.
Hearing this, the other contestants on the show became emotional. They all hugged Sohail and praised his courage, calling him "very brave." On the same show, Sohail Khan also spoke candidly about his divorce from his ex-wife, Seema Sajdeh. He acknowledged that his own mistakes played a significant role in the breakdown of the marriage. The couple parted ways in 2022 after 24 years of marriage, yet they continue to co-parent their two sons.
